Why we built seku.chat and what we believe.
Privacy is a right, not a privilege
seku.chat exists because private communication matters. Everyone — regardless of who they are or where they live — deserves the ability to communicate without being monitored, profiled, or tracked. We built this service to make that possible without requiring a phone number, email address, or any link to your real-world identity.
We are honest about what we do and do not do
We do not sell your data. We do not show advertising. We do not build profiles about you. We do not have a business model that depends on knowing who you are.
We are also honest about the limits of the service. Easy mode is convenient but the server holds the encryption key — we say this clearly. Medium and Hard mode are end-to-end encrypted and mathematically unreadable to us — we explain exactly how. We do not exaggerate our privacy claims.
We protect what little we hold
Your username is stored only as a cryptographic hash — it cannot be reversed. In Medium and Hard mode, messages are encrypted before they reach our server and we cannot read them. All messages are automatically deleted. Login history is kept only until you clear it or close your account.
What we ask of you
Use the service lawfully and treat other users with respect. Do not use seku.chat to harm, harass, deceive, or threaten others.
Integrity
The spirit behind seku.chat is that private communication should be worthy of trust. We try to earn that trust through transparency and honest engineering. We ask our users to bring the same spirit to the conversations they have here.

Yksityisyys on oikeus, ei etuoikeus
seku.chat on olemassa, koska yksityinen viestintä on tärkeää. Jokaisella — riippumatta siitä, kuka hän on tai missä hän asuu — tulisi olla mahdollisuus viestiä ilman valvontaa, profilointia tai seurantaa. Olemme myös rehellisiä palvelun rajoituksista. Easy-tila on kätevä, mutta palvelin hallinnoi salausavainta — sanomme tämän selkeästi. Medium- ja Hard-tila ovat päästä päähän salattuja ja matemaattisesti meille lukukelvottomia — selitämme tarkalleen miten. Emme liioittele tietosuojaväittämiämme.
Suojelemme sitä vähää, mitä meillä on
Käyttäjänimesi tallennetaan vain kryptografisena tiivisteenä — sitä ei voi palauttaa. Medium- ja Hard-tilassa viestit salataan ennen kuin ne saapuvat palvelimellemme, eikä meillä ole mahdollisuutta lukea niitä. Kaikki viestit poistetaan automaattisesti. Säilytämme kirjautumishistorian vain kunnes tyhjennät sen tai suljet tilisi.

Käytä palvelua laillisesti ja kohtele muita käyttäjiä kunnioittavasti. Älä käytä seku.chatiä muiden vahingoittamiseen, häirintään, pettämiseen tai uhkailuun.
Rehellisyys
seku.chatin perimmäinen ajatus on, että yksityinen viestintä ansaitsee luottamuksen. Pyrimme ansaitsemaan sen läpinäkyvyyden ja rehellisen toteutuksen kautta. Toivomme, että käyttäjämme tuovat saman hengen käymiinsä keskusteluihin.
